Publishing
The National Archives is an active publisher in the field of archives, records management and research. The publication of handbooks and academic publications on documents and individual categories of sources has been carried out for a long time. Documentations were previously published on paper, but can now be found electronically on the web.
The National Archives of Iceland are involved in a comprehensive research project in collaboration with the Icelandic parliament, Alþingi, and with the history association, Sogufelag on the documents of the Supreme Court of Iceland 1563–1800.
Til skjalanna - National Archives podcast
The National Archives publishes a podcasts called Til skjalanna. The show includes historical events, the museum’s activities and museum collections. Only available in Icelandic.
Arkir- newsletter of the National Archives
The electronic newsletter is published every month with news about the National Archives’ collections, especially about its archives and accessibility to it. Only available in Icelandic.
Skjalafrettir- archiving and document management
A newsletter from the National Archives on the archiving and document management of documents by the parties responsible for delivering documents. Only available in Icelandic.
