The open symposium of the National Archives of Iceland’s Hollvinasamtök Íslands took place on Wednesday 21 May in the museum’s meeting room. The symposium’s title was “What to do? Do individuals’ documents have a role in archives?” The importance of collecting, recording and preserving private documents was discussed, and the agenda was varied and informative. Then, on this occasion, the private archives of Páll Sigurjónsson, an engineer, were donated to the preservation.
