The objective of the fund's work is to support and strengthen research activities at RKB. Grants will be awarded from the fund in accordance with its operating rules to promote the research institute in line with its goals.

Fund Assets

Initial capital, amounting to 50 million Icelandic króna, was donated by the Landspítali Iceland Memorial Fund in January 2019. The fund's principal capital may not be diminished.

• Interest on initial capital.

• Financial contributions from individuals and legal entities.

• Donations, grants, and pledges related to the research institute's activities.

• Interest on funds received by the fund.
