Age supplement

The age supplement is paid to those who receive a disability pension or partial disability pension. The age supplement is not paid to those who receive a medical and rehabilitation allowance.

The full age supplement is paid to those who are 18 to 24 years old when either the benefit conditions for a rehabilitation pension were first met or when a disability assessment was first approved. The amount decreases by 5% from the age of 25 up to the age of 44.

Therefore, everyone who has a disability assessment approved for the first time at the age of 25 receives 95% of the full age supplement.

Everyone who has a disability assessment approved for the first time at the age of 43 receives 5% of the full age supplement. Those who are older at the time of their first disability assessment do not receive an age supplement. Therefore, when a 44-year-old person receives a disability or partial disability pension, they do not receive an age supplement.

Please note: The same percentage of the age supplement is paid until you are 67 years old.
