Educational Materials Developement Fund
Application guidelines
Applications for a grant from the Youth Fund must be submitted through the Rannís online application system – My Pages.
To access the application form, applicants must log in to the Rannís application system using electronic ID (eID) or the Auðkenni app (recommended for users applying from abroad).
Applicants do not need to be registered users of the application system, although this is recommended where possible. A registered user may submit an application on behalf of another applicant.
Applications may be submitted in Icelandic or English.
Once an application has been submitted, it can be found under Applications → Submitted on the My Pages account of the user who submitted it.
Recommendations for applicants
Read all application guidelines carefully before applying.
Create your application well in advance of the deadline.
Do not wait until the final day to submit your application.
Project budget – total project costs and financing
When preparing the project budget, applicants should include the total project costs and all sources of financing.
The applicant's own contribution may be provided in the form of in-kind work.
The difference between the total project costs and the confirmed financing constitutes the amount of funding requested from the Educational Materials Development Fund.
Applicants must specify the financing that will complement the grant requested from the Educational Materials Development Fund.
If funding has been requested from, or awarded by, other sources for the same project, this must be declared in the application.
