Disability assessment until 31 August 2025
The verdict
Please note that the information on this page pertains to the disability and rehabilitation pension system that was in effect until August 31, 2025. Applicants from September 1, 2025, are assessed according to the new system, while those who had a valid assessment in the old system until at least August 31, 2025, were automatically transferred to the new system.

The insurance practitioner will rule on disability based on:
a medical certificate from your doctor,
a questionnaire you will fill out,
the opinion of the doctor TR will send you to see,
statement from a rehabilitation provider confirming that rehabilitation is fully exhausted, if applicable.
You will evaluate your own skills in a questionnaire when you apply for disability. This is an opportunity for you to express your views directly.
Most first applicants are called to an examination by a doctor working outside of TR. Waiting time for appointments by the examination doctor may be several weeks.

Rights based on disability assessment
The results of the disability assessment provide for rights:
50 to 74% of grants
75% or more provides
75% disability is considered to be full disability.
