Disability certificate
Disability certificates are for those who receive a disability pension and are under the age of 67. The disability certificate provides various discounts at numerous companies and institutions in Iceland.

Order a plastic card.
The certificate does not include a photograph and is therefore not a personal identification document.
Duration
A disability certificate is never valid for more than one month after the 67th birthday.

ÖBÍ has compiled a list of companies and institutions that give discounts.
The Red Cross will offer a 50% discount on an ambulance service charge for sending a copy or photo of a valid disability certificate by e-mail to: afgreidsla@redcross.is
