Most of us have been in contact with the state and public institutions without giving it any special consideration. Sometimes, data about these contacts are generated and they are more often than not found in the public archives. These can be anything from registered baptism in a church book, grade school registration, parliamentary purchase agreements, tax reporting and more that accumulates as the years pass.

Each institution has its own way of recording information, so it is rarely possible to search for ID numbers or names to find data about individuals. To find information, it is necessary to know who is being searched for, when it happened and who was involved.
