Medical records

Most medical records kept in the National Archives are from health institutions that have provided records of deceased individuals and from self-employed doctors who have retired.

Access to medical records and other health information for individuals is subject to access restrictions, see rules on access to data. This is not applicable if you request your own medical records. It must also be stated which doctor and/or healthcare institution is involved and the most accurate time.
