Police matters
Police cases can be extensive and therefore it is good to have as accurate information about the facts when requesting documents. It must be stated in which municipality the event took place or which police department handled the case.
Date and time are important because police reports are often ranked in chronological order, but otherwise the month and year and the name of the persons involved, what happened, facts and/or case number on the police report. Case number can often be obtained from the relevant police department.
Police data are subject to access restrictions, see rules on access to data.
