Stabilising riverbanks with rock or gravel reinforcements to minimise disruption to river flow and maintain aesthetic integrity.
Constructing dikes to regulate water flow and prevent flooding.
Implementing restorative measures to repair damaged river channels and flows.
Land and Forest Iceland and the Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration are collaborating on comprehensive waterway erosion prevention initiatives.
