Special contributions with child
When a parent is absent
Special contributions may be made by the Social Insurance Administration in the following cases:
When a child has lost one of its parents.
When the child is not fathered.
When the mother of the child is not available due to special or unusual circumstances.
The condition for entitlement to a contribution is that the child's pension is paid in conjunction with the child.
Deadline for claims
A claim must be submitted within three months of the expenditure. Exceptions are:
In case of confirmation, a claim must be submitted within three months from the date of the confirmation, but invoices due to preparation may be older.
In the case of orthodontics, it may be reasonable to wait with a claim for such operations until the treatment is over, i.e. when splints or braces are removed from teeth. The claim must then be received within three months from that date.
