• check that the ship and equipment comply with the laws, regulations and inspection manuals that are valid and issued by the Icelandic Transportation Office.

Monitoring of new construction and alterations

• to monitor new construction and alterations to ships and to certify that they are carried out in accordance with plans and construction specifications approved by the Icelandic Transportation Authority.
