Inspection bodies
If there is any difference between the Icelandic and the English text, the Icelandic version is valid.
A-Accredited inspection bodies
are authorised to inspect all ships except:
Passenger ships covered by Directive 2009/45/EC, introduced by Regulation No 666/2001, as amended.]
High speed craft, cf. the HSC Code.
Ships of 400 gross tonnage or over.
Oil tankers of 150 gross tonnage or over.
Vessels engaged on regular international voyages, with a length of 24 m or over constructed after 1966.
Initial inspection of newbuildings, imported ships and modifications.
Monitoring of new construction and major modifications of ships not exceeding 15 metres in length.
