Scope
Recreational craft of less than 15 metres in length, not used or intended for rental.
When
The owner of a recreational craft may carry out annual intermediate surveys. However, the inspection body shall carry out inspections every 5 years.
Implementation
The owner of a recreational craft intending to carry out an annual intermediate survey shall carry out the inspection in accordance with the recreational craft inspection manual. The owner shall then go through the inspection report and write comments into it, if any. The owner shall also carry out rectification in accordance with any comments that arise.
When the owner has carried out an intermediate survey and made adjustments in case of any comments, he shall notify the Icelandic Transport Authority of this by electronic request, as provided above.
