75% of disabled persons aged 18–67 who live in Iceland and have resided in Iceland or worked in another EEA country are entitled to disability pension.

Child pension is paid for children under 18 if either parent is deceased or has a disability pension, old-age pension or medical- and rehabilitation allowance.

A physician shall write a death certificate under the Act on Death Certificates, Post-mortem examinations, etc., No. 61/1998.
