The payment of child pension is stopped if:
A child moves out of the home, new documents on the support of the child must be submitted if the legal circumstances of the child change.
A child is placed in foster care.
A parent brings a child to a country that does not have an agreement with Iceland on social security; see list of countries.
Other payments of old-age pensions are cancelled due to income. An exception is made if a person was on disability before receiving an old-age pension. Payments of child pensions shall be retained if the pensioner is in a hospital or institution, although other payments will be cancelled.
Disability grant payments are cancelled due to income.
