Sign language counselling
The role of the Communication Center counselor is to serve families of sign language children and provide information to their parents or guardians.
A counselor from the Communication Center visits families as needed.
It is crossed:
the main means of communication,
teaching Icelandic Sign Language, which is related to daily activities of the family
education about Deaf culture
The SHH counsellor puts families in contact with sign language teachers and families can attend family courses in Icelandic sign language free of charge.
