Specialization in pediatrics
Introduction
The Children’s Hospital at Landspítali (Barnaspítali Hringsins) offers accredited specialist training in paediatrics. Paediatric specialist trainees (BASL) are expected to be able to complete two years of structured training at the Children’s Hospital, in accordance with the curriculum approved by the Licensing and Credentials Committee of the Ministry of Health.

Admission criteria
Admission requirements for specialist training in paediatrics are:
the applicant must hold a medical degree from the University of Iceland or an equivalent foreign medical school
must have completed the internship year (or will have completed it by the time the training post begins)
must hold an Icelandic medical licence (or will have such a licence by the time the training post begins).
