Landspítali and the School of Health Sciences (Heilbrigðisvísindasvið) at the University of Iceland have merged their scientific conferences into one major event aimed at strengthening collaboration, connections, and the visibility of research.

The new conference, Science in springtime (Vísindi á vordögum), will be held on April 8–9, 2026.
The event brings together researchers, specialists, teachers, students, company representatives, and the general public to present and discuss the latest research and developments in life and health sciences in Iceland.

Participation is open to everyone and free of charge.

Abstract submission

Abstract submission is now open, and all those conducting research in life and health sciences are encouraged to submit an abstract.

All abstracts will be reviewed by the conference’s scientific committee, and accepted abstracts will be published on the conference website.

Important dates

• December 15 – Abstract submission closes

• January 20 – Authors notified (at the latest)

• March – Program finalized

• April 8–9 – Conference
