Remote Access to Subscription Data

To access the electronic data of the Health Science Library outside the IP address of the hospital or the Department of Health at HÍ, you must have remote access. LSH staff, Department of Health at HÍ and students can apply for remote access to the library.

Those with an e-mail address from Landspitali or the University of Iceland can get access. Examples: netfang@landspitali.is, netfang@lsh.is or netfang@hi.is

Apply for access

  1. Apply for remote access to the library through OpenAthens by completing Registration form

  2. Username is assigned and used for login, but you can always use an email address as username. You choose your own password, remember to choose a trusted password and do not share password with others.

  3. After you register, you will receive an email containing a link to activate the account. Click on the link in the email and after that you can log into your own OpenAthens account.

  4. It is now possible to log in using either your username or email address along with the chosen password. Please note that the organization is Landspitalinn Med Library. Here are (pdf) on how to log in.
