Open Access

Articles funded by the Science Fund must be attributed to Landspítali, and final versions sent to the library, bokasafn@landspitali.is for preservation in the LSH e-Repository. Open Access to the articles is desirable. Open Access means free online access to scientific articles, allowing anyone to read, copy, and distribute them.

Two paths to Open Access:

• Green Open Access: The author publishes an article in a traditional journal but also makes it available online, often in an institutional repository or a central repository like PubMed.

• Gold Open Access: The article is published in an open access journal where all articles are immediately available online.
