An annual conference is organized by the Emergency Services of Landspítali, where research and projects related to emergency services in Iceland are presented. Specialists showcase their work and research connected to the theme of the day.

Emergency Day is a celebration of research and professional development projects within emergency services and an important part of continuing education for staff. The conference is interdisciplinary and attended by professionals involved in the care of acutely ill patients from across the community.

Emergency Day 2026

Will be held on March 6, 2026, at Hotel Natura Reykjavík.

The theme of this year’s conference is: Healthcare in Times of Disaster.

Fee: 7,000 ISK; free of charge for Emergency Department staff.
