Electronic journals
The library subscribes to around 600 electronic journals. In addition, about 5,500 journals are available through the national access program Landsaðgangur and ProQuest, although most of them have a 6-12 month delay in publication.
When a journal is available both directly from the publisher through a Landspítali subscription or national access, and from ProQuest with an embargo period under the national license, multiple access links may appear.
E-books
The library owns or subscribes to over 400 e-books, in addition to 1,700 health science e-books available through the national access program.
