Discrimination in the labour market
Did you know that discrimination is illegal – both in everyday life and in the workplace? The law prohibits discrimination based on sex, race, religion, beliefs, disability, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, sex characteristics, or gender expression.
The purpose of the law is to combat discrimination and ensure that everyone can participate fully in society.

Have you experienced discrimination?
Discrimination can appear in many ways, for example when applying for a job or when accessing services. It can sometimes be difficult to determine whether discrimination has occurred, but the counsellors at the Equality Centre are ready to help.
The general deadline for submitting a complaint to the Equality Complaints Committee is six months.
That’s why it is important to report a case as soon as a suspicion of discrimination arises.
