How do I change ownership of a car/vehicle if there is no sale?
Changes of ownership of a car/vehicle must be notified to the Icelandic Transport Authority in the same manner regardless of whether there has been an exchange, it has been sold or donated. More information is available here https://island.is/en/register-ownership
