Board
The board of Eyvör consists of five members appointed for two years at a time. For the 2025–2027 term, the board is composed of the following members:
Aðalsteinn Þorsteinsson, Director General, Ministry of Infrastructure.
Bryndís Björk Ásgeirsdóttir, Dean of the School of Social Sciences, Reykjavík University.
Hrafnkell V. Gíslason, Director General of the Electronic Communications Office of Iceland and Chair of the Board.
Sigurður Magnús Garðarsson, Dean of the School of Engineering and Natural Sciences, University of Iceland.
Svandís Unnur Sigurðardóttir, Team Leader at the Research and Innovation Division, Rannís.
Expert Panel
The Expert Panel is composed of six specialists in cybersecurity:
Bryndís Bjarnadóttir, Cybersecurity Specialist, CERT-IS.
Hákon L. Aakerlund, Chief Security Officer, Arion Bank.
Kristinn Guðjónsson, Security Engineer, Shopify.
Theodór R. Gíslason, CEO of Defend Iceland and Chair of the Expert Council.
Tinna Harðardóttir, Chief Security Officer, Innnes.
Tinna Þuríður Sigurðardóttir, Specialist, European Centre of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats.
The Cybersecurity Grant falls under the Ministry of Infrastructure and is awarded on the basis of Article 42 of the Public Finance Act No. 123/2015.
Rannís administers the grant in cooperation with Eyvör and is responsible for the review and evaluation of applications.
Eyvör NCC-IS is part of the European Cyber Security Competence Center (ECCC) network, and the support is intended to help fulfill the objectives of the ECCC, as defined in EU Regulation 2021/887.
