Driving on the sidewalk or footpaths
If you cycle on a sidewalk or a footpath, the same rules apply to a scooter there, as does a bicycle.
When being cycled on sidewalks and pedestrian paths, this shall be done on condition that it does not cause danger or discomfort to pedestrians.
Priority is given to pedestrians and cyclists to take this into consideration, not least in terms of speed.
In general, all road users should stay to the right and overtake on the left.
Where there is a mark separating pedestrian and cycling traffic, they shall be observed and shall be on the side of the bicycle.
Cyclists should keep in mind that pedestrians do not expect a fast and sudden overtaking on the path. It is therefore important that the bicycle slows down well and gives an acoustic signal before approaching or before turning to a blind corner.
