Courses for deprivation of driving licences and driving bans

• Take a special course at a driving school due to revocation of driving license that lasts 4 evenings.

• If the suspension is 12 months or more, bring a medical note to the District commissioner´s office

• Bring acknowledgment document for finishing the course to the District Commissioner who can grant permission for retaking the test one month before the suspension expires.

• Pass theoretical and practical test. The driving instructor books the practical test. Book practical test

License can be picked up at the District Commissioner´s office after the suspension period is over.

• Take a special course due to revocation of driving license that lasts two evenings.

• Go to the District commissioner´s office and bring a medical note and an acknowledgment document for finishing the course. The District Commissioner can grant permission for retaking the test one month.

• Pass theoretical and practical test. The driving instructor books the practical test. Book practical test.

• Pass practical test for all the categories on the license. You might have to take practical test for motorcycles, trucks and buses if such categories exist on the original license.

• Tests may take place up to one month before the suspension expires.

• Where are the courses held?

The National Police Commissioner can authorize the restoration of the driving license in cases where the suspension is longer than three years or for life. If a person has been deprived of a driving license for life, driving license may not be granted again until the suspension has lasted for five years.

The police commissioner is responsible for the implementation of restitution under the authority of the National Police Commissioner. You have to start by requesting a pardon from the chief of police and take confirmation of it to the magistrate and apply for reinstatement.
