What is a general firearms licence?
The first firearms license is called an A-license and gives the right to own and use:
shotgun number 12 and smaller
22 caliber long rifle, including an air rifle
The permit does not apply to automatic or semi-automatic weapons.
After 1 year, you can apply for an extended firearms license.
Hunting
A valid firearms license and a valid hunting card are required for hunting.
