Access to the Icelandic Audio Library
People who cannot use printed material may have the right to access the Icelandic Library. This group includes
dyslexic people
blind and partially sighted people
people with ADHD diagnosis
Conditions
You must submit an application form together with a signed certificate from a professional. The certificate shall clearly state the reason why the applicant is unable to use printed publications.
Only a certificate shall be submitted, not the analysis itself.
Fees
The annual fee for the library is:
for adults
free for children under the age of 18
A claim is established in the home bank of a loan recipient once it has been registered. Access is opened when a claim has been paid.
Application process
Electronic
Applications may be made with an electronic certificate, which is equivalent to a signature. An electronic application by a child under the age of 18 is made through a guardian. When an authorised guardian applies electronically, he/she selects the child ID number of the child for whom he/she is applying.
On paper
Applications may also be made on paper. An application shall be signed and returned to the Museum. If the applicant is under the age of 18, the signature of the guardian is required
