Workplace Training Fund
Application guidelines
Instructions and supporting documents
Institutions and companies submit a single application. It is divided into two parts, with one part containing information about the applicant company/institution and the other part containing information about the number of students and the number of weeks for each subject.
The grant period is from 1 November to 31 October each year.
The amount of the grants depends on the budget allocations for this category and demand.
Grants are awarded to those who meet the conditions, and the amount depends on demand and the number of applications.
The maximum number of weeks per student is 48 per year.
Each student must be accompanied by a pay-as-you-earn (PAYE) tax certificate, the last payslip of the year, or other documents confirming that the weeks applied for were worked during the relevant period.
Each student must be accompanied by a signed workplace learning agreement that has been created in the student's electronic logbook.
Application system
To access the application form, you need to log in to the Rannís application system – My Pages using electronic identification. If the user is abroad, they may need to use the authentication app rather than authentication via a phone number.
Instructions for Rannís My Pages.
It is not necessary for the applicant to be the logged-in user in the application system, but it is preferable if possible. An individual can be the logged-in user in the application system but specify another applicant in the application.
After an application has been submitted, it will appear under “Applications->Submitted” on the My Pages of the user who submitted it.
