A loan to buy a car
You can apply for a loan to purchase a car if you have a motor impairment assessment from TR and you receive:
disability pension or disability allowance,
old-age pension,
child support payments for a child with reduced mobility.
You can get a car loan every 3 years as long as the previous loan is paid.
Lower loan:
You can get a lower loan if you:
have a motion-deficit assessment at TR,
and
receive pension payments from TR.
The amount of the lower loan is 180.000 ISK.
Higher loan:
You can get a higher loan if you:
have a functional disability assessment in TR
and
use two crutches or a wheelchair routinely.
The amount of the higher loan is 340.000 ISK.
Bonds, interest and maturity
TR will prepare a bond and send you a signature that you will return.
The loan bears the average interest rate of non-indexed bonds. They are for 3 years and are repaid with a balanced monthly payment, which is deducted from TR payments.
