The Icelandic student innovation fund provides grants to hire undergraduate and master’s students for summer work on research and development projects.

The permit is granted to the custodian parent of a child younger than 18 that resides in Iceland.

A home supplement is added to the allowance of those who receive a disability pension, medical- and rehabilitation allowance or old-age pension and live alone.

Appeals against refusal of visa must be lodged within 30 days of the date of notification of the decision to the applicant.

The fund supports Icelandic performing arts and related projects through grants awarded to professional groups.
