The application is for an individual who has lived in Iceland for four years with a residence permit that can be the basis of a permanent residence permit.

Police can stop a car for any reason. If the police ask you to stop your car, you should do so when it is safe.

If you have been paid too much according to your rights, you have to pay it back.

Importing goods that will later be re-exported, e.g. for exhibitions, competitions or work purposes, you can apply to be exempt from import duties.

In certain cases a foreign national may be expelled from Iceland if the requirements to stay in Iceland according to the Foreign Nationals Act are not met.
