General

A special permit is required for reloading cartridges for firearms.

Conditions

The applicant must have:

• Held a general firearms license for at least 1 year.

• Passed a course in reloading cartridges with a recognised instructor.

Supporting data

An application must be accompanied by:

• Information about storage facilities for materials and equipment.

Rights

Authorises the ownership and use of:

• loading cartridges for own use,

• purchase of powder, detonators and cartridges,

• purchase of ammunition reloading equipment.

Cost

6,500 ISK

Duration

Maximum 5 years.
