A special permit must be applied for, for air pistols for Olympic shooting.
Conditions
The applicant must have:
Had a general firearms licence for at least 1 year.
Have been an active member of a recognised shooting club for at least 1 year.
In some cases, the applicant must show proof of courses and exams.
Supporting data
An application must be accompanied by:
Confirmation of shooting club activity.
Confirmation of course attendance, if applicable.
Rights
Authorises the ownership and use of:
air pistols for Olympic shooting
Cost
6,500 ISK
Duration
Maximum 5 years.
