In general

Special authorisation is needed for the import of:

  • a cutting weapon with a blade longer than 12 centimeters that is not intended for household or occupational use,

  • a switchblade, spring dagger, gravity knife, gravity dagger, stabbing weapon, or other similar weapons,

  • a striking weapon, such as brass knuckles, a spiked club, a concealed club, a club not intended for sports, or other similar weapons, as well as electrical weapons,

  • swords that are a combination of striking and cutting weapons,

  • throwing stars, throwing knives, or other such weapons,

  • crossbows, longbows, slingshots, or other such weapons, as well as arrowheads. This does not, however, apply to bows intended for practice or competition in archery.
