There was a good attendance at the TR’s old-age pensions briefing held at Hlíðasmára 11 yesterday, with about 50 participants.

The signed memorandum of understanding emphasises cooperation between systems, a comprehensive approach and continuity in the service of rehabilitation. Individuals in rehabilitation should be followed systematically between service systems if they need service from more than one system and it will be clear how responsibility for the service is transferred between systems.

TR is offering an educational meeting on Monday 26 February at 16.00– 18.00 in Hlíðasmára 11 on old age pensions. At the meeting, everything concerning applications for old age pensions from TR, payment arrangements and other matters will be reviewed.

The agreement between Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway and the United Kingdom on the coordination of social security, signed this summer, formally entered into force at the end of the year or on 1 January last.

TR held an open educational meeting for the people of Ísafjörður and the surrounding area on 25 October about preparations for retirement in Naust, the hall of the senior citizens’ association, entitled: All about old-age pensions – it doesn’t have to be complicated.

Due to the women’s strike on 24 October, it is expected that the service time at the telephone answering service and TR service centre in Hlíðasmára 11 will be extended.

The employees of TR turned up in pink for the pink day. We actually took two pink days and of course took photos of cheering employees in pink.
