Take care of your eyes and eyesight

The vision is one of three telekinetic senses; the other is the auditory and the odorary senses.
The vision is one of three telekinetic senses; the other is the hearing and the sense of smell. The telekinetic senses are a prerequisite for people to reach their destination, i.e. to be able to navigate, gain an overview of their surroundings, and interact with other people. People have a different vision, but the advice on visual protection is something that most people can have behind their ears.
Eat healthy and varied foods. The diet should contain a lot of fruits and vegetables, especially vegetables with yellow colour or a lot of leafy green (such as spinach, broccoli, rocket salad, etc.). Some fish species, such as salmon, tuna or halibut, contain a lot of omega-3 fatty acids, which are also good for your eyes.
Do regular exercise. Physical activity and regular exercise reduce the risk of developing diabetes mellitus 2 and may control diabetes mellitus, high blood pressure and high cholesterol (blood fat). These conditions can cause eye and visual problems.
Avoid nicotine. Nicotine creates a risk of blood clots, constricting blood vessels and raising blood pressure. It is best to never start taking nicotine, whether in the form of smoke-nicotine or non-smoke nicotine (such as powder, snus, whip, nicotine gum), but stopping immediately has a positive effect on the person's overall health. Nicotine has a negative effect on the development of eye diseases.
Know your family history. Some eye diseases are passed down and it is important to find out if someone in your family has them. This knowledge can help you to assess whether you are more likely to develop eye disease.
With increasing age, the risk of age-related eye disease increases. Learn more about vitamins and supplements to reduce this risk.
Use sunglasses. The sun's rays can damage your eyes and increase the chance of clouds and AMD (eye degeneration). Use sunglasses that filter both UV-A and UV-B rays.
Protect your eyes during sports and/or work. Some sports are more risky to your eyes than others, and some work as well. Use protective glasses when appropriate, whether in the workplace or in homework and maintenance.
If you use contact lenses, take care of hygiene to avoid infections. Wash your hands thoroughly before putting the lenses in your eyes or removing them. Follow the instructions for your lenses regarding cleaning them and replace them when appropriate.
Rest your eyes. It has been shown that people will blink much less when they watch a computer screen, but blinking will keep them moist. If you spend a lot of time in front of a computer screen, it’s good to keep the “20-20-20 rule;” every 20 minutes, watch something 20 feet (6 meters) away for 20 seconds. This will reduce eye fatigue.
