Scholarships for blind and visually impaired students at the University of Iceland

The board of the Þórsteinssjóður is currently calling for applications for grants from the fund. The purpose of the fund is firstly to support blind and visually impaired students to study at the University of Iceland. Secondly, the objective of the fund is to promote research that can increase knowledge of the lives and conditions of blind and visually impaired individuals, especially in social and cognitive sciences.

The purpose of the fund is firstly to support blind and visually impaired students to study at the University of Iceland. Secondly, the objective of the fund is to promote research that can increase knowledge of the lives and conditions of blind and visually impaired individuals, especially in social and cognitive sciences.
This year, scholarships will be granted to blind or visually impaired students who study at the University of Iceland during the academic year 2024-2025. Grants will also be granted to research that focuses on the social and cultural conditions of blind and visually impaired individuals.
The total amount of grants granted is up to ISK 10 million.
The deadline for applications is 4 November and the grant is scheduled to be awarded 9 December.
