A 100% job is available for occupational therapists who will work as consultants at Sjónstöðin - service and knowledge center for blind, visually impaired and individuals with integrated vision and hearing impairment. Sjónstöðin provides counselling, education and support with the aim of increasing the ability of those who are blind, visually impaired or with integrated vision and hearing impairment to be active and participate in all areas of society to the same level as others, with emphasis on support for learning, independent household management, active leisure and employment.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Advice and education in the field of services to service users and partners
Making service plans and follow-up
Independence in work
Assessment of the need for aids and instruction.
Participation in inter-disciplinary collaboration in teams within and outside the organisation
Skills requirements
A license as an occupational therapist.
Experience working with individuals with visual and/or integration vision and hearing impairment is an advantage
Positive interface, smoothness and competence in human interaction
Organizational skills, autonomy, flexibility and initiative
A rich service spirit
Good skills in written and oral Icelandic and English.
Good general computer skills

Pay according to the current wage agreement between the Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs and the Icelandic Professional Training Association.
