The Trauma Team provides trauma support, diagnosis, and treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
Its services are divided into acute care and a treatment pathway.
Acute Care: offers immediate support following recent traumatic events such as sexual assault, domestic violence or physical assault. Care is tailored to the individual and may include crisis support, assessment and treatment as needed.
Treatment pathway: Provides care for individuals with PTSD and co-occurring mental health difficulties related to past trauma. Patients first undergo a diagnostic assessment, and treatment is offered if PTSD is confirmed.
Individuals on the waiting list or already in treatment through the team’s pathway may contact the service by sending an enquiry via Heilsuvera.
