Daily tasks
Self-care
Home, family, and social life
Leisure activities
Education and/or work
Assessment of Abilities
Clients' abilities are evaluated in Activities of Daily Living (ADL), cognitive screening is performed, and environmental conditions and assistive device needs are assessed. Abilities and capabilities are assessed using validated assessment tools. In collaboration with the individual and their relatives, key priorities are determined, followed by education, counseling, and/or training.
Operations
The service is client- and occupation-centered. Occupational therapists work according to the Canadian Model of Occupational Performance and Engagement (CMOP-E), focusing on enhancing occupational engagement and the interaction between the individual, their occupation, and the environment.
Referrals
Requests for occupational therapy come from hospital departments, physicians, nurses, or other healthcare professionals. Treatment plans are developed in consultation with each department’s team.
The Occupational Therapy is located on the 4th floor, building D and is called Rehabilitation Unit 14D
