Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Department of Landspítali (BUGL)
The Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Department provides specialized care for children and adolescents up to 18 years of age who experience mental health and developmental disorders. The services are tailored to meet the needs of both children and their families.
Occupational therapists assess and provide interventions or guidance for patients who have difficulties with:
Self-care
Managing daily responsibilities
Attending school
Engaging in hobbies
Maintaining social interactions
This includes evaluating the child’s participation and ability to carry out daily tasks:
At home
At school
During play and leisure activities
Various environmental factors are considered to determine whether they support or hinder the child's participation and activity.
