The ward receives patients with conditions affecting the brain and spinal cord, such as:
Stroke and other cerebrovascular disorders
Motor neuron disease (MND)
Multiple sclerosis (MS)
Epilepsy
Parkinson’s disease (PD)
Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS)
Myasthenia Gravis (MG)
Most patients are admitted through the Landspítali Emergency Department.

Therapeutic Support
Physiotherapists and occupational therapists provide treatment and guidance to support mobility and daily activities.

Dietitians offer advice on fluid and nutritional intake.
Psychologists provide psychological and emotional support or therapy.
