HERA – Specialized Home Care Service
HERA provides specialized nursing and medical care for individuals with chronic and incurable illnesses. It also supports patients undergoing curative treatment who require temporary assistance due to severe symptoms. HERA stands for: Home, Monitoring, Consultation, Assistance.
The service is provided free of charge for patients in the greater Reykjavík area.

HERA Services
24/7 home care, including phone and online consultations, as well as office visits.
Scheduled home visits and communication tailored to each patient's needs.
On-call physicians from the palliative care unit available around the clock for symptom assessment and management.
Specialized nurses trained in palliative care, family nursing, and counseling.
Support for patients and families, including end-of-life care at home.
Close collaboration with other healthcare providers to ensure seamless care.
