Pre-operative assessment and preparation carried out by anaesthesiologists and anaesthesia nurses for all surgical specialties at the hospital. This includes a review of health status and investigations, as well as providing information and support to patients undergoing surgery.

The transplant outpatient clinic provides education and support to patients and their families who are preparing for kidney, kidney–pancreas, or liver transplantation, as well as to living kidney donors. The clinic also provides follow-up care for these patient groups, along with heart transplant recipients.

There is close collaboration with Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Abdominal Masses:

A multidisciplinary clinic staffed by nurses, gastroenterologists and surgeons, providing assessment, treatment, follow-up, education and guidance for patients following the diagnosis of an abdominal mass.

Pre-operative Assessment:

Preparation, work-up and patient education for abdominal surgery.

Metabolic Surgery Clinic:

A multidisciplinary clinic staffed by nurses, physicians and dietitians, providing follow-up, education and guidance for patients after metabolic surgery performed at the hospital.

Wound Care Clinic

At the Wound Care Clinic, patients with specialised or chronic wounds are treated after discharge from hospital wards. Nurses also provide consultative support on wound management for inpatients.

Procedure Room:

Minor procedures under local anaesthesia are performed here, such as port removals and biopsies.

Stoma nurse specialists provide counselling, education and support for people with a stoma, those preparing for stoma surgery, their families, and healthcare professionals both within and outside the hospital.

A multidisciplinary clinic staffed by specialist nurses, gastroenterologists and dietitians, providing treatment, follow-up, education and guidance for patients with:

• Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
• Liver disease and other gastrointestinal conditions
• Gastrointestinal masses
• Feeding tubes (PEG/RIG) and gastrostomy buttons

Procedures performed by the Gastroenterology Team

• Liver scan
• Capsule endoscopy
• Oesophageal manometry and pH monitoring
• Breath tests

Primarily provides intravenous medication administration for patients under the care of gastroenterologists who require specialised infusions. The clinic also supports nephrology and surgical patients as needed.
