n celebration of the Awareness Campaign on Antimicrobial Resistance, the Chief Epidemiologist will hold a symposium at Hrafnista via remote meeting (Teams).
This time, the theme of the symposium is related to nursing homes. The day of November 18th is specifically dedicated to antibiotic awareness by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC).
On the same day, the World Health Organization (WHO). begins its awareness week on the rational use of antibiotics. The purpose of this awareness campaign is to remind the public, authorities, healthcare professionals, and other parties about the threat posed by the spread of antibiotic-resistant bacteria globally.
