Depression and Anxiety Team

Services

The Depression and Anxiety Team is a multidisciplinary outpatient team that provides diagnosis and treatment for severe anxiety and depressive disorders when milder treatments have not been effective.

Service Areas

Diagnosis and Treatment

  • Anxiety Disorders: Severe anxiety disorders such as obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), social anxiety disorder, health anxiety, panic disorder with or without agoraphobia, body dysmorphic disorder, and generalized anxiety disorder.

  • Depression: Severe and recurrent depression that significantly impacts quality of life.

Assessment of Complex Mental Health Conditions

  • Specialized evaluation and differential diagnosis to determine the most appropriate treatment.

Post-Discharge Treatment – "Building Bridges" Program

  • Provides continued support for individuals recently discharged after hospitalization due to suicide risk, depression, or anxiety disorders.

  • Treatment includes support group sessions twice a week and individual consultations. Family support is also available for clients who have children under the age of 18.

  • The average duration of stay is three weeks, with the possibility of continued services if needed.
